You have your website fully published. It’s brand new, you love it, it represents you, and now you expect traffic to run through the door and get your products or services in the blink of an eye, especially when you just think about the billions of visitors there is every day on the Internet.

The truth is that there are also billions of websites that are not visited or that do not hold people when they pass by there. One of the key things is to bring enough traffic to be able to make some serious improvements on your website based on the feedback of these people.

How can you increase the traffic to your website without spending USD $10k/$15k per month doing so, particularly when you’re just getting started and it’s a side-hustle for now?

Here are 10 possibilities (amongst many others) that you can take advantage of - WITHOUT SHELLING OUT MONEY - to increase traffic to your website, be seen, and be trusted by many people.

1. Publish high-quality content that is relevant to your ideal audience, knowing that visitors are going to see it for years to come.

We often hear that one piece of content at one point in time is still bringing new traffic and new sales to business owners who did it right and connected with their audience's needs.

2. Regularly optimize your website for search engines by using keyword-rich titles and descriptions. SEO is more important than we would want to acknowledge!

The algorithm regularly changes, and it is our responsibility to figure it out early enough to adjust our strategies, as business owners who are interested in selling more of our products and services through our website and social media profiles. There are many ways to do it, and we are going to go over them in this article.

3. Use social media

Share your content and build relationships with your ideal audience.

4. Participate in online forums and discussion groups related to your niche

Fora such as Quora, Discord, Facebook groups, LinkedIn groups, and many others are great places to share your knowledge and to ask questions, not to heavily promote your content. Heavy promotional marketing is often considered spam in these circles, however new business deals are closed every day when there is a match between supply and demand.

5. Add a blog section to your website and publish new content regularly that people will want to read.

Make sure you are actually publishing new content at least once a month. There are many solutions when it comes to writing good SEO-friendly content that gets your article to rank high on Google. Also, make sure to add links in your article to allow people to continue their exploration of the World Wide Web.

6. Submit guest posts to popular blogs and online publications in your industry.

You can be a little bird on the shoulder of a giant eagle, and get straight to where you want to be, benefiting from the long-term work that has been done for years before you came along.

7. Add a link to your website in the signature of all your email communications.

It may sound too easy, but it is one of the surest ways to bring traffic to your website, as you are interacting with people who want to know what you are about without asking you directly. What do they do? They look you up on your website first, without letting you know this is what they are doing first.
For the signature in your email, if you’re using Google Workplace (or are open to start using it) there is a great tool that is called Black Perl Mail, that will embed a visual signature in a way that is highly deliverable with the technology they use. Check it out and book a demo with Mrs. Andreia Alcantara to see it for yourself. She is fantastic and easy to connect with.

8. Google your name and/or your company name.

Be ready to discover things from your past that you thought were buried to never be seen again. Your reputation is very important, and nothing is ever completely lost on the Internet. There are ways to dig deeper than what we would usually do, just staying on the first page of Google search results.

9. Google your name and/or your company name from an incognito window.

Discover what other people see when they are not related to you in any way and try to figure out who you are.

10. Create your company page on Google Business.

Having your company page referenced on Google by yourself is the surest way to get ranked on Google, as you are going to precisely fill out all the fields that will allow you to be shown when people are looking for businesses like yours, in their area.
